These instructions are in pdf format. Click on the knob lock for all models except the L1000 series Lever Locks. For that series click on the image of the lever lock. This procedure is not for the feint of heart and after removing the lock from the door it is recommended you take it to a locksmith that is a ALOA member.
If you decide to try and do it, read the directions below BEFORE starting. The steps are as follows:
- Remove the lock from the door.
- Take the back cover off the lock.
- Disassemble the lock down to the "Combination Chamber" using your own ingenuity. Warning: The lever lock is the most complicated disassembly of them all.
- Remove the "Combination Chamber" and follow the instructions below.
- While other models will look different and disassemble differently the "Combination Chamber" is the same in all of them.
